Frequently asked questions.

Where should I stay?

We have hotel blocks at The Petersham Hotel and Coach and Horses, but you are welcome to stay anywhere you like! We will be hosting the welcome party at The Petersham Hotel and will be providing shuttles from here to the wedding day events, while Coach and Horses is a short 5 minute walk to the wedding venue.

Do I have to come to all of the events?

Which events you attend are completely up to you! You are more than welcome to just join us on the day, or attend any combination of other scheduled events. We just ask that you kindly indicate which you are planning to attend when you RSVP.

Will transportation be provided?

Transportation will only be provided from The Petersham Hotel to and from Kew Gardens on the wedding day. For all other events or if you are staying elsewhere, Uber and taxis are readily available.

Kew Gardens is very big. Where should I arrive?

It is very large! The ceremony will be held in the Nash Conservatory which can be accessed via The Elizabeth Gate at the very north end of the gardens. The default drop off point for most rideshare and taxi services is the Victoria Gate, it is approximately a 20 minute walk to the ceremony site from this entrance. Please ensure you are dropped off at the Elizabeth Gate.

Is there parking?

For the welcome party, there is some parking available at the hotel, but there is very limited parking at Kew Gardens for the wedding day. We highly recommend using public transportation, rideshare, or taxis if you are not staying at The Petersham Hotel or within walking distance.

Kew Gardens is very big. How are we getting around?

It is very large! After the ceremony, there will be a 5 minute walk to cocktail hour on a paved path, so we highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes. After cocktail hour, there will be a buggy to transport everyone to the reception!

What will the weather be like?

London in June typically has highs in the mid-70s and lows in the mid 50-s, but can be very unpredictable! We reccomend bringing a shawl for the evening and an umbrella (or other rain gear) as summer months are known for occasional showers.

What should I wear?

For the welcome party we are requesting cocktail attire, think suits and jackets with or without ties, midi-length dresses, or dressy separates. For the wedding day we are requesting formal attire, suits and ties and long dresses. There will be opportunities to walk the gardens a bit on the wedding day, so please wear comfortable shoes! All other events will be casual.

Are kids welcome?

While children are welcome at the pre and post wedding events, due to Kew Gardens policies we are unable to welcome children for the wedding day. We are happy to provide details regarding potential childcare options if needed!

Is there a gift registry?

Your presence is the best gift, but for those who wish to give something extra, our registry link can be found here.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately due to space limitations, we ask that you only RSVP for those named on your invitation. If you think we’ve missed someone, please reach out to Allison or Ben.

Who should I ask if I have more questions?

Please reach out directly to Allison or Ben with any other questions.
